Job summary

Antithesis is hiring to advance Pangolin, our bespoke streaming analytics database designed to handle terabytes of data every day. You will work on a tree-native, highly scalable system with a modern architecture and strong emphasis on correctness and performance.

The role requires deep Rust expertise and a backend systems mindset, with collaboration across product and infrastructure teams. In-office work is expected in Vienna, VA or San Francisco, CA.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Rust with strong, idiomatic and safe code.
• Deep systems programming knowledge including memory, concurrency and performance.
• Strong CS fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with backend engineering and database-oriented systems.
• Product-minded approach: translate internal needs into concrete priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve Pangolin, a tree-native streaming analytics DB handling terabytes daily.
• Collaborate with internal customers to shape roadmap and prioritize features for faster data exploration.
• Coordinate with Infra for deployment, reliability, and scale.
• Produce clear design docs and influence long-term technical direction.
