Job summary

Antithesis is seeking a highly capable backend engineer to own Pangolin, our bespoke streaming analytics database. You will contribute to a tree-native architecture handling terabytes of data daily, with a focus on reliability and performance.

You’ll collaborate with UI and notebook teams to translate requirements into robust features and optimizations, ensuring fast, scalable data exploration and processing.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Rust with a focus on safe, performant systems code.
• Strong fundamentals in memory, concurrency, and performance.
• Solid CS backbone with data structures & algorithms knowledge.
• Experience with backend/database systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve Pangolin, a tree-native analytical database.
• Collaborate with internal customers to shape roadmap and priorities.
• Work with Infrastructure on deployment, reliability, and scale.
