Job summary

Medtronic in Fridley, Minnesota, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to drive system-level design for neuromodulation devices, translating clinical needs into robust hardware/software requirements and ensuring V&V outcomes meet regulatory expectations.

You will lead cross-functional teams across hardware, software, and clinical workflows, manage interfaces, assess risks, and support product improvements from concept through validation while adhering to Design Controls and QMS requirements.

Qualifications

• Design Controls knowledge across development lifecycle.
• Experience with QMS in regulated environments.
• Ability to work with software, hardware, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with reliability, verification, and validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level design, development, and integration for implantable devices.
• Translate needs into system requirements with traceability.
• Define architectures, interfaces, workflows, and requirements for hardware/software.
• Lead verification, validation planning and execution to meet requirements.
• Perform risk assessments and mitigate technical risks.
• Collaborate with R&D, quality, regulatory, marketing, and project management.
• Support concept development and usability studies.
