Job summary

SMX is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Naval Mission Planning System (NavMPS) in Lexington Park, MD. The role involves modernizing the common mission bit reprogramming system and applying systems engineering to enhance munitions testing capabilities.

With a focus on agile development and direct collaboration with Naval operators, this position requires a Master's degree and at least ten years of engineering experience, including DoD systems. The job allows for hybrid work with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, three (3) years of which are related to DoD systems.
• Clearance Required: Secret. US Citizenship is required for work on DoD contract.
• Experience working engineering activities for a DoD technology program.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering processes to the development and deployment of the CMBRE system.
• Engage with Naval operators to identify requirements for system enhancements.
• Collaborate with teams in an Agile development process.
