Job summary

Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company, seeks a Junior Mission Planning Engineer in Patuxent River, MD. You will support the integration, sustainment, and operational use of mission planning systems across Naval Aviation platforms, under the guidance of senior engineers and program teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering with 0–3 years of experience, exposure to JMPS/VMPS/NOMS, and the ability to obtain an Active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Exposure to mission planning systems (JMPS/VMPS/NOMS) through study or work.
• Foundational knowledge of systems engineering, software integration, and configuration management.
• Understanding of aviation or mission planning concepts and ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with integration, sustainment, and testing of mission planning systems across multiple platforms.
• Support lifecycle activities from development through operational use.
• Assist in mission planning certification activities and documentation.
