Job summary

Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company, seeks a Senior Mission Planning Engineer to lead the integration, certification, and sustainment of mission planning systems for Naval Aviation platforms at Patuxent River, MD. You will guide system integration, software evaluation, and V&V activities to ensure safe mission execution.

The role requires 8+ years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with mission planning systems (e.g., JMPS, VMPS, NOMS).
• Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle, software integration, and requirements traceability.
• Ability to lead cross-functional technical efforts and communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Active Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead mission planning systems engineering leadership across platforms.
• Oversee software integration, testing, and evaluation activities.
• Direct certification and compliance efforts for mission planning systems.
• Provide operational support and fleet integration with stakeholders.
• Manage mission data loading, configuration control, and data integrity.
• Coordinate across disciplines and mentor junior engineers.
