Job summary

Draper, a premier nonprofit R&D institution, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer in Cambridge, MA. The role focuses on model-based engineering and advanced digital engineering across Navy, Air Force, and Missile Defense Agency domains.

The interdisciplinary team develops multi-domain models, conducts analysis, and communicates results to customers and stakeholders. A BS in engineering or related field with 5–10 years of experience and eligibility for U.S. clearance is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field.
• 5-10 years experience as systems engineer or related role.
• Experience with model development and integration of models.
• Familiar with tools such as MagicDraw, DOORs, MATLAB/Simulink, Python.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute system engineering lifecycle assignments.
• Lead small teams and align team towards program goals.
• Identify program/system-level technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and provide constructive feedback.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
