Job summary

Torch Technologies in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join a team focused on mission/software assurance, system architecture, and interface design for Missile Defense System platforms. You will contribute to reliable, secure, and high-quality hardware/software systems and support architectural decisions.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in hardware/software engineering, an active Secret clearance, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Master's degree in a relevant STEM field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of related professional experience.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience in hardware/software engineering and assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hardware/software engineering activities, including assurance, code reviews, testing, and reviews.
• Provide input to software architectures that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to software quality, security, and performance.
• Ensure hardware/software engineering and assurance processes are compliant and well-documented.
• Provide technical guidance by assessing evidence for hardware/software engineering.
