Job summary

GE HealthCare in Wisconsin seeks a Lead Systems Designer to drive SOA components and a common SDK across patient monitoring devices. You will own system requirements, architecture, risk analysis, verification, and regulatory compliance throughout medical device development.

You will lead a team of systems engineers, collaborate with cross-functional groups, and ensure scalable, fault-tolerant solutions within budget. On-site in Waukesha at least three days a week, with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or STEM required.
• 6+ years engineering work experience in related field or GE Edison program with 4+ years.
• 3+ years product development and design control experience.
• 1+ years experience in one or more languages such as C/C++/C#/Java/Python.
• Willing to work on-site in Waukesha, WI at least 3 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Own system features and clinical application development with safety and regulatory compliance.
• Lead cross-functional product development to design and implement new products.
• Guide design teams through design control, risk analysis, verification, and validation.
• Collaborate across engineering, UX, quality, regulatory, and manufacturing.
• Manage system engineering tasks across medical device development phases.
