Job summary

Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, operating through 5-D Systems, a KRATOS Company, seeks a senior systems engineer to lead full lifecycle engineering for radar and hypersonic programs in aerospace and defense. You will develop requirements, create system design documentation, and manage MBSE artifacts.

The role requires experience in system requirements, design, verification, and Cameo modeling, plus strong communication and leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience developing system requirements, system designs, and verification documentation.
• Defense/Aerospace industry experience is required.
• Experience with MBSE and Cameo is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to work in a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, decompose and allocate to system/subsystem elements.
• Develop system architectures for new or existing systems.
• Conduct trade studies and design research to optimize requirements and architecture.
• Create and review system/subsystem design docs and interface definitions.
• Develop and execute system verification; lead or support technical reviews.
• Develop MBSE processes, templates, and best practices; present Cameo models.
• Assist in proposals and prepare presentation materials.
• Peer review teammates’ work; develop/test plans and reports.
