Job summary

Kearfott Corporation in Pine Brook, NJ, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to define, design, integrate, and verify advanced systems for aircraft, UAVs, missiles, land and sea platforms. Lead across the lifecycle, coordinating hardware and software teams and delivering robust system solutions.

You will work directly with customers, develop architectures, manage requirements and interfaces, and guide verification activities. On-site role with 15% travel, targeting US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Computer, Electrical, Systems Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in aerospace/defense systems engineering, including integration and verification.
• Experience leading systems engineering across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with hardware/software integration and verification in lab or field.
• Familiarity with DOORS and bus standards (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, RS-422, Ethernet, SpaceWire).
• DO-178B/C or DO-254 familiarity.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering activities across programs and lifecycle.
• Translate customer needs into system and subsystem requirements.
• Develop and maintain system architectures (functional, logical, physical).
• Manage interface definitions across hardware, software, firmware, electrical, mechanical domains.
• Plan and lead system integration, verification, and validation testing.
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams and communicate risks to stakeholders.
• Support proposals with technical requirements, schedules, and costs.
• Travel ~15% for reviews and meetings.
