Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking a hands-on Systems Engineer to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across the product lifecycle, from requirements development to sustainment. You will drive MBSE/ SysML definitions, performance verification, and safety analyses on DoD robotics and imaging programs.

The role requires at least five years of experience, a relevant engineering degree, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Systems Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven track record as a systems engineer on DoD, robotics, or imaging programs.
• Experience with fielded DoD systems or robotics/imaging.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and managing priorities across projects.
• Experience with MBSE and SysML using MagicDraw.
• Experience with requirements management and traceability.
• Experience with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-882, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Use MBSE and SysML to define and trace system design.
• Develop product design descriptions, requirements, system test docs, safety analyses.
• Support a system reliability program; analyze reliability data.
• Manage key product performance factors at system level.
• Verify and validate system and component performance against specs.
• Develop test fixtures to validate complex systems and components.
• Assist hands-on integration troubleshooting at system and subsystem levels.
