Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, located in Melbourne, FL, is seeking a Sr Specialist Systems Engineer to join the Mission Networks team. This role focuses on conducting rigorous systems engineering across the full lifecycle, collaborating with software and network engineers to design, document, and present solutions at milestone gates.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of related experience (or graduate degree with 2+ years; 8+ years in lieu of a degree).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field; 4+ years of relevant experience, or graduate degree with 2+ years of related experience.
• MBSE tools experience such as Cameo; familiarity with SysML is a plus.
• Experience supporting defense, IRADs, or proposals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts technical planning and analysis throughout the SDLC from concept to delivery.
• Participate in gate reviews (SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and product demonstrations.
• Assist with requirements management and generation of new requirements.
• Review and modify system design artifacts in MBSE models (Cameo).
• Support Agile processes including daily standups, sprints, and PI planning.
• Develop, maintain, and document ICDs to define software and cloud interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to ensure traceability and system integrity.
