Job summary

L3Harris, in Melbourne, FL, seeks a Sr Specialist Systems Engineer to support programs, IRADs and proposals, applying strong SDLC rigor and coordinating with Software and Network Engineers to design and document requirements, and present at milestone gate reviews.

Responsibilities include lifecycle planning, gate reviews (SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR), requirements management, MBSE artifacts in Cameo, ICDs, and supporting Agile processes. FAA Public Trust clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts technical planning and analysis activities throughout all phases of the system development lifecycle, from concept through to delivery.
• Participate in program or IRAD gate reviews such as SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, and TRR as well as product demonstrations to stakeholders
• Assist with requirements management to include ability to review existing requirements and generate new requirements for a given feature. Includes participation or management of peer reviews.
• Reviewing, generating, and modifying system design artifacts in MBSE model in Cameo Systems Modeler
• Support Agile processes to include daily standups, sprint reviews, PI planning, and demonstrations
• Develops, maintains, and documents Interface Control Documents (ICDs) to clearly define and manage software and cloud subsystem interfaces
• In concert with SI&T Leader review verification and validation procedures to ensure they meet all functional and performance requirements.
• Collaborates with cross-disciplinary teams during design, implementation, and testing to ensure requirements traceability and system integrity.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust security clearance.
