Position Overview

Principal Systems Engineer – Inertial Guidance Systems

Location: Tewksbury, MA (Concord Building, 50 Apple Hill Dr.)

Security Clearance: Secret (active U.S. government issued)

Position Type: Onsite

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements, algorithms, concepts of operations, system trades, and system interfaces.
• Develop and maintain detailed SysML descriptive system models, link and synchronize requirements, and generate design documentation/views.
• Interface with cross‑functional teams such as electrical and software engineering to guide subsystem development and ensure compliance with requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Conduct and/or support technical peer reviews, provide constructive feedback, and document and provide technical guidance to other design team members.
• Communicate technical topics and issues clearly and concisely to technical peers and non‑technical team members.

Qualifications – Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
• Experience with systems requirements, systems software, and systems hardware.
• Experience with systems integration and/or systems test is a plus.
• Experience with DOORs, MBSE, UML/SysML, and/or Cameo / MagicDraw.
• Position based out of Tewksbury, MA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.
• Experience in requirements development, design, verification, and validation.
• Experience syncing and tracing requirements between DOORs and SysML modeling tools such as Cameo / MagicDraw.
• Experience managing trade studies and design decisions.
• Experience in all phases of development: concept, requirements, design, implementation, and test.
• Experience supporting design reviews during all phases of development.
• Experience with Gears Feature‑Based variation management tools.
• Experience with DXL scripting.
• Experience with Python, Java or MATLAB.
• Radar architecture and/or algorithms knowledge.
• Self‑starter with the ability to independently pursue information and solve problems.
• 3 years of experience with Systems/Software Engineering Product Development Cycle.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
