Job Summary
Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, focused on LTAMDS. The role involves cross‑disciplinary engineering, troubleshooting, data analysis, and performance improvement to ensure mission‑critical defense systems operate flawlessly.
What You Will Do
- Develop requirements, algorithms, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces.
- Lead testing efforts: design and execute test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in simulated and real‑world environments.
- Investigate and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
- Collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve systemic issues.
- Create and run models to predict system performance and support verification and validation.
- Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating functionality and impact.
- Lead a multi‑disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality.
- Document and communicate results: develop integration documentation, analyze data, verify requirements, and present findings to leadership and stakeholders.
- Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data to ensure optimal system performance.
- Travel up to 20% to support mission execution at various locations, including test sites and customer facilities.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience developing scripts and functions with MATLAB.
- Familiarity with systems software, hardware, requirements, integration, and/or test.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools.
- Background in model‑based engineering and requirement management.
- Proficiency in creating technical documentation such as test plans, procedures, or reports.
- Experience in an integration lab or test facility supporting verification.
- Experience using simulated environments for system evaluation.
- Customer interface experience – internal and external.
