Job summary

SMX seeks a Senior Systems Engineer – Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) Training Systems to support the TCTS II/ATLaS program at Patuxent River NAS, Lexington Park, MD. The role requires leading systems engineering activities and architecture collaboration in a hybrid telework/onsite setting.

This position demands TS clearance, DoD experience, and strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills to deliver secure, realistic training solutions for naval aviation systems.

Qualifications

• Ten years of engineering experience
• Experience in an engineering role within the DoD environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Clear communications and teamwork in a collaborative setting

Responsibilities

• Perform programmatic or technical leadership roles in designing/testing practical solutions
• Apply systems engineering methods to develop advanced complex systems
• Assist with the LVC architecture and related interfaces
• Plan and implement the PMA-205 LVC CRD portions
• Guide the engineering development of modern complex systems
• Set up configuration control for interfaces between TCTSII and models/aircraft
