Job summary

MANTECH seeks an experienced and passionate Systems Engineer to join our team in the Fort Meade, MD area. The role focuses on designing and managing enterprise virtualization environments, Linux administration, and automation to support secure networks.

You will provide full-lifecycle systems engineering across development, test, and production with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph requirements. Advanced scripting, PKI, and security hardening are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 14+ years of relevant Systems Engineering experience, or an Associate's degree with 19+ years’ experience.
• Experience with Linux administration and engineering.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting and infrastructure automation using Ansible or SaltStack.
• Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and observability tools (nxLog, Grafana).
• Experience orchestrating enterprise virtualization (VMware vSphere) or Nutanix HCI.
• Experience with NiFi for data flow and log aggregation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level virtualization environments and infrastructure.
• Provide full-lifecycle systems administration for hardware and software across development, test, and production environments.
• Deploy and maintain IT automation solutions to streamline tasks within secure, isolated networks.
• Engineer and optimize scalable storage solutions and complex file system configurations.
• Author and present technical program documentation and briefings for senior management and stakeholders.
