MANTECH seeks an experienced and passionate Systems Engineer in the Fort Meade, MD area to join our team focused on career and customer success.

Responsibilities include deploying IT automation, designing enterprise virtualized environments, engineering scalable storage, and delivering technical briefings to senior management while collaborating to deploy new technologies and maintain SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 14+ years of relevant Systems Engineering experience; or an Associate's degree with 19+ years’ experience.
• Extensive experience with Linux engineering and administration.
• Proficiency in the configuration and orchestration of containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker, or Rancher).
• Proficiency with DevOps and monitoring tools such as nxLog, Grafana, and Git.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting and infrastructure automation using Ansible or SaltStack.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to automate data flow between distributed systems; hands-on experience with NiFi to forward log events to repositories.
• Experience orchestrating and managing enterprise virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere/vCenter).
• Ability to automate database backups, migrations, and service availability.
• Experience implementing automated security hardening (STIGs/CIS).

Clearance Requirement:

• Current/Active TS/SCI with Poly

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as, the copy machine/fax machine/computer/printer.
