Job summary

Arcfield is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer Liaison to provide systems engineering leadership for SSG contractors in the Denver area and to support the program office with GFX/STE management, COMSEC development, payload artifact reviews, and risk/requirements activities.

The role involves lifecycle design, requirements generation, verification, and collaboration across government customers, FFRDC, and contractors to ensure contract compliance and program success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 12-15 years of experience or a Master's with 10-13 years of experience or PhD with 10+ years of experience.
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly.

Job description

Denver Area Contractor Liaison Support

The Senior Systems Engineer Liaison shall provide support to SSG contractors in the Denver area and offer matrixed reach back support to the SSG program office in the areas of GFX/STE management, COMSEC development/management, payload artifact review, space vehicle bus artifact review, risk management, requirements review, and enter segment coordination as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide systems engineering leadership to the systems engineering, integration, test, and project engineering teams.
  • Apply engineering rigor to achieve execution excellence and solve critical issues.
  • Participate in system and independent design reviews, test/production, readiness reviews, trade studies, and other program/customer reviews to keep the project teams on track.
  • Ensure requirements are met through rigorous requirements management, technical reviews, integration, verification, and validation activities.

Expected Day‑to‑Day Activities and Abilities
  • Using a holistic approach, design, develop, evaluate and modify end‑to‑end systems and system‑oriented products through their entire life cycle.
  • Generate quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics.
  • Ensure requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods.
  • Translate high‑level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and work with other engineering disciplines to develop lower‑level detailed implementation requirements.
  • Establish and coordinate development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development.
  • Design interfaces and bring system elements together so they work as a whole.
  • Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures; serve as customer liaison and support business development activities to understand and shape requirements.
  • Participate in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts; translate high‑level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and work with multi‑discipline engineering teams to develop lower‑level detailed requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
  • Generate system‑level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
  • Review test plans/procedures and ensure they meet contractual requirements and participate in the testing process to validate requirements.
Desired Education
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, math, physics, or related discipline.
Desired Experience
  • 10 years or more of full life‑cycle systems engineering experience with a record of increasing responsible leadership positions.

This position offers a projected compensation range: Min: $146,322.15 Max: $254,425.83.
