Job summary

Independent Software provides senior-level engineering support for complex IT and SIGINT systems. You will drive design, integration, deployment, and sustainment across Linux/Windows, networking, and virtualization, delivering engineering drawings and documentation throughout the lifecycle.

You will collaborate with mission stakeholders, develop rigorous design reviews, and ensure configurations meet mission requirements while maintaining robust technical documentation and cross-domain

Qualifications

• Extensive Systems Engineering experience for complex IT or mission systems.
• Strong knowledge of systems architecture, networking, virtualization.
• Experience with Linux and Windows administration.
• Experience with Cisco routers, switches, and network security protocols.
• Experience in system/network integration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret system and network engineering drawings.
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts and best practices.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
• Active TS SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, deploy, and sustain complex IT and SIGINT systems.
• Develop engineering documentation, including PDRs and system diagrams.
• Administer Linux and Windows environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and network infrastructure.
• Integrate servers, hardware, software, and data-processing systems.
• Perform rack-and-stack installation, cabling, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Support virtualization and cloud-based technologies.
• Maintain technical documentation using Visio, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and Office.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and mission stakeholders throughout deployment and sustainment.
