Job summary

Unified Door and Hardware Group seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to manage the design, security, and long‑term operation of corporate and manufacturing infrastructure. The role requires collaboration with business units, IT, cybersecurity, and plant personnel to define system requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions.

The position emphasizes infrastructure engineering, AD/VMware, cloud services, and endpoint management, with on‑site work at our Wisconsin facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 7–10 years in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or enterprise technology.
• Experience translating business/technical requirements into system specifications.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file services.
• Experience designing and supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and hybrid identity environments.
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Strong networking and security experience.

Responsibilities

• Meet with business, IT, cybersecurity, and personnel to translate needs into system requirements.
• Analyze existing systems and identify changes to improve security, availability, capacity, and performance.
• Design and document infrastructure solutions including servers, virtualization, storage, cloud services, identity, networking, backups, and DR.
• Develop system specifications, architecture diagrams, and testing and rollout plans.
• Evaluate options and recommend solutions based on business need, risk, and total cost of ownership.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and major deployments.
• Provide technical direction to Level 1/2 staff and ensure proper documentation.
