Job summary

Vigilant Compliance, based in Chadds Ford, PA, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to join the internal IT team. You design and maintain network systems and security, lead platform changes, and guide stakeholder communication for M365 apps including SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree and 5–7 years in systems engineering, with strong PowerShell skills and the ability to translate complex tech for executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
• Technical expertise in M365 applications and products including SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra, Outlook/Teams.
• PowerShell scripting experience with code reviews and repositories.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain network systems and security.
• Defines processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
• Serve as a technical SME for SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange, Power Apps, Purview, and related M365 apps.
• Evaluate platform changes and guide implementation across stakeholders.
• Support project teams with technical guidance for consultations, projects, VIP needs, or urgent issues.

Job Description:

Vigilant Compliance is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the internal IT team of their Firm. Based in Chadds Ford, PA, this position takes on internal tasks in a team-based work environment. Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field from a four-year college or university
• 5-7 Years of experience in systems engineering or related field
• Technical Expertise in M365 applications and products including SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra, Outlook/Teams, etc.
• PowerShell scripting experience, including code reviews and use of code repositories
• Experience leading consultations with diverse stakeholders, including technical and business/program staff
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a high-demand, fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong social skills
• Ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
• Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working for an internal IT team/department (RMM/PSA tools, multi-client environment)
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise executive-level summaries

• Evaluate upcoming platform changes, feature updates, and new capabilities; guide implementation and communicate their impact to stakeholders
• Support project teams with technical guidance and assist with specialized support requests related to consultations, projects, VIP needs, or urgent issues
