Confluent is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to own identity, infrastructure, and automation across a multi-cloud environment. You will drive IdP administration, governance, and security controls, partnering with security and compliance teams to stay audit-ready.

The role emphasizes automation, scalable IAM, and cross‑team collaboration across AWS, Azure, and GCP, with responsibilities in FedRAMP/SOC 2 readiness and strong communication.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience in systems, identity, or cloud engineering.
• Enterprise IdP administration with Okta and/or Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Strong knowledge of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0 / OIDC, and SCIM provisioning.
• Identity governance with SailPoint, Saviynt, or similar IGA tools.
• Multi-cloud experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP with IAM/RBAC and VPC controls.
• Zero Trust & Network Security: Palo Alto Networks VPN/SASE portfolio management.
• SaaS administration for Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 at org level.
• Experience supporting FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001 audits.
• Automation mindset: GitOps/IaC and scripting in Python or shell.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain tradeoffs clearly.
• Strong troubleshooting and cross-system problem ownership.

• Own systems end-to-end: design, hardening, and operation of identity, infra, automations, and zero trust.
• Administer IdP infrastructure across Okta/SAML/OIDC.
• Lead quarterly User Access Reviews (UARs) and identity governance.
• Administer AWS, Azure, and GCP environments with IAM/RBAC and network controls.
• Architect and administer GlobalProtect/Prisma Access, HIP policies and egress controls.
• Manage Google Workspace, GitHub Enterprise IAM, Azure Virtual Desktop, Glean connectors, Workato integrations.
• Lead security audits and remediation for access reviews; enforce least-privilege.
• Develop runbooks and architecture docs; automate recurring tasks.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and network teams on cross-system issues.
