Job summary

Ledgent Technology is seeking a senior IT systems administrator for an onsite in Sorrento Valley, San Diego, with a Hybrid – 1 day remote after 90 days. The role pays USD 49.75 to 67.25 per hour and requires eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.

You will design, implement, and manage servers, AD/Entra ID, virtualization, storage, and cloud workloads. The position emphasizes automation, documentation, and collaboration with NOC and other teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or 6+ years of experience with certs.
• 6 years’ experience supporting applications and systems in a production environment.
• Advanced Windows/Linux Server administration and AD experience.
• Experience with at least one virtualization platform (VMware/Hyper‑V/KVM).
• Experience with storage systems (NetApp/Dell/Pure Storage).
• Cloud and hybrid-cloud infra (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience managing SaaS apps and automation.
• Strong communication and project- management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and administer servers, OS, apps, and storage arrays.
• Manage Active Directory and Entra ID environments.
• Administer virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper‑V).
• Work with SAN storage and datacenter networks.
• Support cloud workloads in AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Onboard SaaS apps, integrations, and SSO.
• Automate tasks using scripting and automation tools.
• Collaborate with NOC and Service Desk for issue resolution.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Create documentation for systems and processes.
