Job summary

SawStop, the world leader in power tool safety, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to drive hardware platform development and validate production designs. You will translate requirements into measurable technical specifications, mentor the engineering team, and collaborate across functions to deliver safe, reliable woodworking tools.

You will use simulations to explore concepts, prototype new ideas, and support the product roadmap with rigorous testing and cross‑functional coordination.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Systems Engineering or similar.
• 8+ years in product design.
• Experience applying the Systems V-model to product design.
• Ability to translate requirements into technical measures and test plans.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Management to define product requirements.
• Lead the engineering team through the Systems V-model and validate designs against requirements.
• Mentor team on decomposing technical measures into specs for design and production SOPs.
• Develop and validate prototypes using rapid prototyping and traditional fabrication.
