Job summary

Viasat is seeking a Principle Engineer to lead technical definition and execution across multiple government aviation programs. You will manage system requirements, certification processes, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobility communication solutions.

You will maintain customer relationships as the technical point of contact, drive program reviews, and ensure performance meets stringent government and industry standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years proven experience as a Project Engineer and/or Systems Engineer.
• Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field.
• Active DOD Secret Clearance and US Citizenship Required.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain strong relationships with customers as the Technical POC for the Business Area.
• Drive documentation of CONOPs, System Requirements, and technical program reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
• Ensure customer requirements for satellite communication modems, terminal equipment and software are met or exceeded.
• Lead multi-function engineering teams across government and industry partners to deliver on program goals.
• Ensure designs meet military and FAA certification intent.
