Job summary

Leidos seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Maru Program in Gaithersburg, MD. You’ll lead systems engineering across the lifecycle, designing and integrating scalable, secure solutions with software, cybersecurity, and government partners in a fast-paced Agile setting.

Qualifications

US citizenship is required per contract.
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with ability to pass a Polygraph.
8+ years of professional systems engineering experience.
DoD 8140/8570 compliance with active CompTIA Security+ or higher.
INCOSE certification at ASEP/CSEP/ESEP levels.

Responsibilities

Lead systems engineering across full lifecycle: requirements, architecture, integration, testing, deployment, sustainment.
Collaborate with Product Owners and Agile teams to translate mission needs into technical solutions.
Develop and maintain system architectures, interfaces, CONOPS, and docs.
Perform decomposition, functional analysis, allocation, and traceability using standard methods.
Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and technical roadmaps.
Evaluate system performance, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Coordinate multi-team and partner integration for platform delivery.
Support verification, validation and design reviews with customers.
