Job summary

Leidos in Gaithersburg, MD seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and evolve advanced geospatial systems for the Maru Program. You will collaborate with software, cybersecurity, and government partners to translate mission needs into secure, scalable solutions using DevSecOps practices in an Agile environment.

The role requires a TS/SCI with Polygraph, INCOSE certification, and 8+ years of experience in DoD/IC programs.

Qualifications

US citizenship is required per contract.
Active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.
Active INCOSE certification (ASEP/CSEP/ESEP).
8+ years of professional systems engineering experience.
DoD/IC program experience.

Responsibilities

Lead systems engineering activities across the full system lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
Refine features with Product Owners and Agile development teams into technical solutions.
Develop and maintain system architectures, interface definitions, CONOPS, and documentation.
Perform systems decomposition, functional analysis, allocation, and traceability.
Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and technical roadmap development.
Evaluate system performance, identify risks, and develop mitigations.
Coordinate integration across multiple development teams and external partners.
Support verification and validation activities and detailed documentation.
Participate in design and architecture reviews and customer briefings.
Support DevSecOps initiatives and CI/CD processes.
Ensure compliance with SCI engineering standards and security requirements.
