Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineering Program Manager (EPM) at the Rolling Meadows, IL site to lead end-to-end engineering execution across a full program lifecycle. The role partners with Program Managers and Chief Engineers to drive cost, schedule, and technical performance.

The position requires a strong background in systems engineering, MBSE methods, and experience with DoD programs, including EVM and milestone reviews. On-site work with security clearances is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in engineering for BS track; 6+ years for MS; 4+ years for PhD in related field.
• Experience in hardware, software, and firmware integration on defense projects.
• Experience with EVM and cost/schedule management.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering execution across the full program lifecycle (capture through delivery).
• Drive cost, schedule, and technical performance with disciplined execution.
• Integrate across engineering functions and partner organizations for cohesive alignment.
• Enable data-informed decisions using program metrics and performance indicators.
• Ensure adherence to engineering processes with appropriate rigor.
• Align technical scope with staffing and execution plans with PMs/Chief Engineers.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues early.
• Drive milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) with clear entry/exit criteria.
