Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Camden, NJ, is seeking a Specialist, Systems Engineer (Systems/Software) to design, build, and deliver safety-critical, cybersecure power solutions for military customers, leading SDLC activities and collaborating with electrical, mechanical, software, and test engineers.

The role emphasizes system and software engineering across requirements, design reviews, documentation, test planning, and integration, with travel up to 10% and eligibility for U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in engineering with professional experience.
• Experience with lifecycle and standards ( MIL-STD-499, EIA-632, IEEE 1220 or ISO 15288 ).
• At least 2 years in C and embedded software development.
• Experience with system and software test procedures.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and represent the organization on technical aspects of assigned projects.
• Coordinate system-level requirements with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Develop proposals, schedules, and participate in design reviews.
• Create system/subsystem specifications and test plans.
• Mentor lower-level engineers and ensure timely delivery.
