Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing Company seeks a Systems Engineer III (Electronics) to extend system engineering into product-level electronic controller design. You will define and document controller system requirements, architecture, and verification evidence in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical or related)
• 5+ years of experience developing products or testing embedded microprocessor-based controls
• Experience with regulatory and safety standards (UL, IEC, CE) in product development
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage embedded system development
• Experience with FMEAs and electronics failure analysis
• Develop and maintain system requirements, traceability, and test cases
• Drive system engineering deliverables across a project as an individual contributor

Responsibilities

• Translate product needs into clear, testable controller system requirements and maintain them through the product lifecycle
• Define controller system architecture at the functional-block level and maintain ICDs
• Support project management for electronic control system development and verification activities
• Plan and drive system work product reviews and ensure on-time release of documentation
• Collaborate across teams to improve system work products, processes, and quality
• Engage with software, hardware, test, and product development teams for integration
• Create and maintain a requirements traceability matrix mapping controller requirements to verification
• Participate in design reviews to ensure hardware and software requirements are met
• Coordinate with manufacturing engineering and suppliers to define testing requirements
• Support customer service with system-level documentation and guidance
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and functional safety standards for agency reviews
