Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to drive system-level solutions for embedded and connected products in Indianapolis, IN. You will translate customer needs into requirements, architectures, interfaces, and validation strategies across hardware, software, and controls teams.

The role requires strong systems engineering experience, MBSE familiarity, agile collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and a hands-on mindset to guide product development through the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience authoring and managing system-level requirements and technical specifications.
Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools like JIRA/Confluence.
Experience systems engineering and product lifecycle development.

Responsibilities

Define and manage system and subsystem requirements using established SE methodologies.
Develop and maintain functional requirements, interface specs, and system architecture docs.
Define system behavior, operating modes, state diagrams, and control logic.
Ensure requirements are clear, traceable, testable, and verifiable throughout the lifecycle.
Collaborate with hardware, software, controls, and test teams for successful integration.
Manage requirements traceability, issue tracking, and change control using JIRA/Confluence.
Support integration, verification, and validation activities through testing and troubleshooting.
Contribute to commissioning, diagnostics, and end-of-line testing strategies.
Participate in design reviews, technical assessments, and compliance reviews.
Drive continuous improvement of SE processes and templates.
