Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer - Project Engineer V to serve as a senior technical authority across defense programs. You will provide strategic direction, integrate engineering disciplines, and ensure alignment with mission requirements, costs, and schedules.

This role represents engineering leadership at the enterprise level and supports process improvement initiatives. You will mentor engineers, interface with DoD customers, and lead design reviews while advancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, or related STEM field with 10 years of experience in project engineering
• Master’s degree in project engineering or related STEM field with 8 years of experience
• 14 years of experience in project engineering in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

• Serve as chief project engineer or senior technical lead for large, multi-phase defense programs
• Define and guide system architecture, integration, and verification strategies
• Oversee engineering execution across IPTs and major subcontractors
• Lead technical baseline definition, configuration management, and system integration planning
• Chair or support major design and Reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and ensure readiness
• Primary engineering interface to executive management and DoD customers
• Manage Statements of Work (SOWs) and supplier inputs
• Develop risk and opportunity management frameworks
• Mentor project engineers and leads
• Support proposal development and cost estimation
• Guide adherence to systems engineering standards and MBSE
• Drive engineering process improvements and knowledge management
