Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer for our SE&TC team in Tucson, AZ. You’ll shape architecture, requirements and verification across complex guided and autonomous systems, collaborating with software, hardware, controls, navigation and sensors to drive validation and field performance.

Ideal candidates have a STEM degree and 5+ years in autonomy, robotics, or embedded systems, with MBSE experience (Cameo) and strong analytical communication skills.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in one or more of autonomy, controls, robotics, navigation, embedded systems, EO/IR sensors or real-time systems.
• Experience with MBSE tools and system-level design is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve system and subsystem requirements for hardware and software elements.
• Create system architectures, interface definitions and design documentation using MBSE tools such as Cameo.
• Lead updates to system and subsystem requirements specifications, ensuring traceability to verification objectives.
• Guide system-level integration, hardware/software alignment and cross-team collaboration throughout development and production.
• Plan and execute verification and validation strategies, ensuring requirements are accurately assessed during qualification testing.
