Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead test and evaluation activities across the full design lifecycle. You will work with naval/maritime programs, develop verification plans, and ensure traceability from requirements to results.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong technical writing, and the ability to coordinate with customers, test centers, and internal teams. A DOD clearance is required or achievable.

Qualifications

• Experience with defense systems and Navy/maritime programs.
• Experience developing test plans, procedures and verification documentation.
• Experience in requirements development and traceability.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple projects.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810/882/461/464.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering oversight of test and evaluation activities.
• Develop and review test plans, verification approaches, and qualification docs.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, methods, and results.
• Support T&E planning across the full life cycle and program reviews.
• Coordinate with customers, labs, and partner teams for planning and execution.
• Support design and development of test fixtures for complex systems.
• Evaluate discrepancies, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Assist hands-on integration troubleshooting at system levels.
• Prepare briefings and verification status updates.
