Job summary

Cornerstone Defense LLC seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to provide strategic systems engineering, governance, and enterprise integration support to JCWA within a DoD environment.

This highly visible role requires collaboration with architecture and engineering teams, SAFe/Agile execution, and development of governance artifacts. You will engage senior leaders, lead large-scale planning, and drive continuous improvement across JCWA programs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in DoD environments or defense contracting organizations.
• Experience applying systems engineering to complex systems-of-systems and enterprise-scale programs.
• Experience supporting large organizations (200–2,000 personnel) with complex governance structures.
• Strong understanding of DoD acquisition policies and lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic systems engineering, governance, and enterprise integration support across JCWA programs.
• Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to develop governance artifacts and reference designs.
• Lead enterprise architecture governance and systems integration efforts.
• Coordinate SAFe PI planning events involving large teams and multiple ARTs.
• Develop executive dashboards and reporting for JCWA priorities.
• Produce strategic communications for senior leaders and stakeholders.
