Job summary

NextGen Federal Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer with experience modeling and simulation to drive the design and integration of complex systems for DoD mission-critical programs. The role bridges architecture planning with development to ensure a seamless digital thread from concept through production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or similar.

Responsibilities

• Work on a cross-functional team to develop cutting edge software solutions for DoD mission critical programs of record
• Enable/support development of automation capabilities and tying the Digital Thread
• Define, design, and deliver bounded tool adapters to connect tools, data and simulation products, and user workflows
• Work within an Agile Project Management framework and DevSecOps culture
• Collaborate with stakeholders including customers, teammates and partners
• Architect connected ecosystems (DevSecOps pipelines) to enable continuous, automated data exchange
• Ensure requirements trace accurately across hardware, software, and test environments to create a single source of truth
• Implement adapters and Command and Control (C2)/LVC interfaces, and integrate Government off the Shelf (GOTS) LVC tools
• Integrate third-party tool adapters; including software libraries, command line applications/plug-ins, and desktop applications/plug-ins
• Support scenario creation, LVC orchestration and real-time monitoring of simulation
• Experience working with visualization application software
