Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a senior professional in systems engineering to support the CMSS program in Surveillance Systems, sustaining Block 10.2 and future Meadowlands efforts. You will manage complex projects, lead design management, and oversee obsolescence strategies across the full design lifecycle.

The role requires DoD requirements experience, Atlassian tool proficiency, and the ability to work within an Agile Integrated Product Team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field with 6+ years of experience or Master’s Degree with 4+ years of experience; without degree, 10+ years of experience.
• 2+ years of experience with requirements for DoD development or sustainment.
• 1+ years experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence).
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer capability needs into system requirements and manage allocation and traceability across the lifecycle.
• Maintain and control technical baselines through development and management of system documentation.
• Apply knowledge of RF systems, components, and test capabilities to support design and verification.
• Develop and maintain system architecture models using Cameo, MagicDraw, or similar tools.
• Create/update interface documentation (ICDs/IDDs).
• Perform obsolescence-related SE tasks, including trade studies and lifecycle assessments.
• Generate/update Air Force Technical Orders and support integration with network architecture.
• Collaborate across functions within an Agile environment.
