Job summary

Thunderbolt Solutions is seeking System Engineers to lead design, integration, and validation of complex defense and commercial systems. You will work on weapons, radars, and command/control systems, ensuring rigorous engineering discipline and documentation.

The role requires developing technical data packages, managing configurations, and coordinating with multiple teams and government customers. A DoD SECRET-level clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or related STEM field.
• 4–5 years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
• Experience with root cause analysis and statistical methods.
• Experience scripting with Python.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, integration, and validation of complex systems for defense/commercial sectors.
• Develop and maintain technical data packages for ship combat systems.
• Coordinate with systems engineers, naval architects, combat systems engineers, logistics, and program managers.
• Ensure compliance with DoD, NAVSEA, MIL-STDs, and configuration management processes.
