Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Indianapolis, IN to lead a cross-disciplinary team on aircraft and military systems. You will guide design from concept through validation and interface with government programs across the lifecycle.

You must have a bachelor’s (or master’s) in engineering with 5+ years (3+ with a Master) of experience and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance; US citizenship is required. On-site role with up to 10% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline and 5+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with requirement generation, management, allocation and tracking.
• Strong background in managing engineering development project teams and risk/schedule/cost tracking.
• Experience with development and qualification testing of embedded systems including test planning and execution.
• Familiarity with design review processes and presenting material in a structured environment.
• U.S. citizen and ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of EEs, MEs, programmers and others to deliver concepts and products for aircraft and military systems.
• Support Government programs as a systems engineer and project lead throughout the lifecycle.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware/software specifications and conduct analyses.
• Perform trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition.
• Ensure design outputs meet schedule, cost and technical constraints.
