Job summary

Intelligent Waves seeks a seasoned System Engineer Level III – Data Scientist in Linthicum Heights, MD. The role combines leadership with NLP/ML expertise to support a DoD cybersecurity program, including data extraction from PDFs and unstructured sources.

The candidate will lead requirements, architecture, integration, and technical documentation while interfacing with Government stakeholders and senior leadership. Active TS/SCI with poly is required.

Qualifications

• Twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree, or twenty-five (25) years without a degree.
• Large Data Systems: NLP and ML experience with data extraction from unstructured sources.
• Programming: Python and/or R proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements analysis, architecture design, and system engineering across complex systems.
• Develop DoDAF-compliant architectures and comprehensive SOA solutions.
• Coordinate system integration, interfaces, and verification activities across teams.
• Document Systems Engineering Plans, Requirements Specs, and JCIDS artifacts.
• Collaborate with Government stakeholders and senior program leadership.
