Bestgate Engineering is seeking a Systems Engineer in Columbia to drive the migration of legacy data to a modern platform. You will reverse engineer forty databases to build a universal model, enabling efficient sorting, searching, and analysis for analytics tools used in prototyping and production environments.

Qualifications

• Requires 20+ years with a Bachelor's (or 25+ years without a degree)
• Experience in database design and data modeling is essential
• Proficient SQL usage in relational databases (Oracle, Postgres)
• Experience reverse engineering systems (front-end and back-end)
• Strong background in data analysis, visualization, and security best practices

Responsibilities

• Migrate business data from legacy systems to a modern platform
• Reverse engineer 40 existing databases to create a universal model database
• Collaborate with a small team to deliver efficient data sorting, searching, and analysis
• Contribute to visualization and analytic tool prototyping for customers
