Job summary

Applied Digital in Dallas, TX seeks an experienced infrastructure engineer to design, deploy, and manage Windows Server environments while integrating Linux systems in hybrid data center settings. You will automate tasks using PowerShell, Python, and Ansible, and work across AD, DNS, DHCP, and storage solutions.

The role requires deep virtualization expertise (Proxmox) and experience with databases, CI/CD, and security hardening, with on-call responsibilities across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience managing Windows infrastructure in mission-critical environments.
• Direct experience supporting large-scale data center infrastructure and hyperscale environments.
• Strong virtualization, storage, backup/recovery, and hybrid cloud integration knowledge.
• Proficiency with automation and scripting tools including PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and Bash.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Windows Server environments; leverage automation.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
• Use Ansible, PowerShell, Python, and other tools to orchestrate infrastructure.
• Support cross-platform tooling and monitoring in hybrid environments (Windows/Linux).
• Collaborate with network, facilities, and security teams across multiple data center sites.
• Develop automation scripts and standards; create documentation for designs and runbooks.
• Troubleshoot issues from hardware to OS services; assist with patching and hardening.
• Coordinate upgrades with vendors and participate in on-call rotations.
