Senior Systems Engineer (Full Time, Contract-To-Hire;Remote in Atlanta, GA)

Optomi, in partnership with one of our clients, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, manage, automate, and support enterprise cloud and on-premises infrastructure. This role focuses heavily on Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, Terraform-based infrastructure as code, Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, and automation using PowerShell and Python. The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for provisioning and maintaining Azure resources, supporting SQL Server and Databricks environments, managing Hyper‑V virtualization and physical servers, and ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of critical enterprise systems. The ideal candidate brings extensive hands‑on Azure engineering experience, strong Terraform and DevOps automation skills, and a solid background in data center infrastructure and Microsoft technologies.

This is a fully remote position requiring candidates to reside in the Atlanta area to accommodate occasional or emergency visits to local data centers.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, manage, and optimize Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, identity, and security.
