Job summary

Voloridge Investment Management seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to support and maintain all server operating systems and services, including enterprise virtualization (VMware vSphere), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and data center operations in Jupiter, FL.

You will drive automation, patching, backups, incident analysis, and performance tuning, while collaborating with research and infrastructure teams on high-density compute environments and lift-and-shift migrations to the cloud.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, information science, or related field.
• 7+ years progressive systems administration in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years administering an Enterprise virtualization product (VMware vSphere preferred).
• 5+ years cloud knowledge (AWS and/or Azure).
• Experience with backups, restore validation, and air-gap strategies.
• Experience with enterprise storage platforms (SAN/NAS).
• Ability to work in Jupiter Office 4+ days per week.

Responsibilities

• Participate in supporting and maintaining all Server Operating Systems and services.
• Maintain system patching, backups, and performance tuning.
• Perform root cause analysis on incidents on supported systems.
• Increase automation in VM provisioning and configuration.
• Data center operations: rack/storage, cable management.
• Administer cloud portals including AWS and Azure.
• Set up and configure new cloud-based environments; recommend best practices.
• Lift-and-shift migrations for workloads to cloud; collaborate with teams.
