Job summary

Flybridge Staffing is seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator for a client in the North Palm Beach Area. This direct-hire role offers a flexible salary, an aggressive bonus, and 1-day remote work.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of experience in data center environments, with Dell servers, VMware vSphere, on-prem to cloud migrations, and strong Windows Server/AD skills. Experience with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and security tools like CrowdStrike is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise environments (75+ physical servers and 500+ virtual servers)
• On-premises environments with migration to cloud a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with support and maintenance of all Server Operating Systems and services
• Maintain patching, backups, and performance tuning
• Perform root cause analysis on incidents
• Improve automation for VM provisioning and configuration
• Data center operations: rack/stack hardware, cable management
• Administer cloud portals (AWS and Azure)
• Set up and configure new cloud environments, best practices
• Lift-and-shift migrations from on-prem to cloud
• Collaborate with infra teams on high-density compute
• Experience with VMware Horizon or other VDI
• Active/active data center architecture – RPO/RTO, failover testing
• Zerto/SRM or equivalent for automated failover
• Windows Server / Active Directory
• Containerization (Kubernetes or Docker)
• Security-conscious with CrowdStrike
• Network security tooling like Zscaler

Job description

Flybridge Staffing is currently searching for a Sr. Systems Administrator for a Client based in the North Palm Beach Area. This is a direct-hire role with a flexible salary, aggressive bonus, and 1-day remote.

Must Have:

• Min 8-10 yrs of experience
• Experience with data center systems management (Dell servers strongly preferred)
• Experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere) or other hypervisor platforms is OK
• Must have worked in enterprise/larger environments – E.G, working in an environment with 75+ physical servers and 500+ virtual servers
• On-premises experience (majority of our environment is on-prem) - experience migrating from on-prem to cloud is a major nice-to-have.

Responsibilities & additional experience:

• Assist with support and maintenance of all Server Operating Systems and services
• Maintain system patching, current backups, and analyze systems for performance tuning
• Perform root cause analysis on incidents on supported systems hardware and OS/software
• Improve automation in the areas of Virtual Machine provisioning & configuration
• Data center operations - rack and stack new servers & storage, cable management for storage and networking
• Ability to administer cloud portals, including Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure
• Set up and configure new cloud-based environments, and recommend best practices
• Knowledge of lift and shift migration techniques for workloads from on-premises to cloud
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on high-performance and high-density compute environments
• Experience with VMware Horizon or another VDI solution
• Active/active (hot/hot) data center architecture - RPO/RTO planning, workload distribution, and failover testing
• Zerto/VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) or equivalent - automated failover and failback orchestration across data centers
• Windows Server / Active Directory experience
• Containerization experience (Kubernetes or Docker)
• Security-conscious approach to systems administration - hardening, least privilege, patch discipline, and familiarity with endpoint protection platforms (CrowdStrike preferred)
• Network security tooling experience - Zscaler or similar
