Acuity, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a team focused on IT modernization, data enablement, and hyperautomation across federal initiatives.

Design and maintain scalable backend systems with Python and Neo4J, manage Kubernetes on AWS, and ensure security compliance while delivering reliable software solutions. The role requires collaboration with developers, experience in CI/CD pipelines, and a strong grasp of graph databases and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available back-end systems using Python and Neo4J.
• Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize project requirements.
• Collaborate with a team of developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Develop and maintain Neo4J databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.
• Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies to ensure software quality and reliability
• Write efficient and scalable Python code, following best practices and coding standards.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior developers.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters on AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Optimize Kubernetes deployments for performance, cost, and reliability.
• Work in high-security environments, adhering to strict security protocols and compliance requirements.
• Implement security best practices and ensure the integrity of sensitive data.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, working closely with the development team and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of graph algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with Cl/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab Cl/CD).
• Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Java, C++).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
