Job summary

The MITRE Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer to augment our Systems Engineering Analytics department. You will design and implement systems addressing critical national problems, communicating findings to senior decision makers and aligning capabilities to enterprise needs.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in a related field with 5 years of experience, strong analytical skills, and an active Top Secret/SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop clear, concise, and actionable deliverables; communicate technical concepts to senior decision makers; align capabilities to enterprise-wide mission needs.
• Identify and resolve complex problems with lasting impact for the organization.
• Support strategic cloud and HPC initiatives by assessing enterprise compute and storage across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Analyze infrastructure capacity, storage options, and workload behavior to identify risks, constraints, optimization opportunities, and performance bottlenecks.
• Identify critical NGA workloads, document their compute/storage dependencies.
• Assess and recommend workload hosting approaches, including scheduling, containerization, and pipelining.
• Translate complex technical findings into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
