Job summary

Programmers.io seeks an experienced Systems Engineer with 8–10 years of hands-on experience in building high-performance, scalable systems. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in C++ and Rust, with familiarity in LanceDB, Apache Iceberg, and Velox.

You will contribute to distributed systems, storage engines, and query processing, while optimizing memory, concurrency, and performance in cloud-native environments. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

8–10 years of software engineering experience with strong systems programming.
Expert-level proficiency in C++ and/or Rust.
Experience with distributed systems, storage engines, query processing, or database internals.
Hands-on experience with LanceDB, Apache Iceberg, and Velox.
Strong understanding of operating systems, memory management, concurrency, and performance optimization.
Experience working in cloud-native environments.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
